Oftacilox is a sterile ophthalmic ointment for external use in the eye, containing ciprofloxacin. Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic from the fluoroquinolone class, active against a broad spectrum of microorganisms that can cause eye infections.

Oftacilox is indicated for the treatment of corneal ulcers and superficial infections of the eye and surrounding structures (such as the eyelids, etc.) caused by microorganisms sensitive to this medicine.

Oftacilox is not recommended for use in children under 1 year of age.
